Getting Serious....

About Photography!  We finally purchased a SLR (I have no idea what that means...which tells you I've got a lot to learn) camera....YAY!  We've been talking about it for about 4 months now and neither one of us really wanted to put in the effort to research, but we finally selected the Canon Rebel T3i.  It's a bit overwhelming with all the cameras out there and all the acronyms, what do they all mean?  But I can say that I LOVE having a fancy camera and the awesome pictures it takes.  I'm still using the auto settings and probably will continue to do so until I learn more about the camera.  The manual is 300 pages and I'm trying to actually read it, how much of it I will retain is another story but at least I'm actually attempting to get my moneys worth!

Here are just a few of the 200+ pictures I took today on our family excursion to the Children's Museum and then home again.

Molly's favorite part of the Tot Spot....Driving the Cars!  Just like her brother.

Beep! Beep!

Reading a giant Hungry Catepillar book.

The "Mom stop, you are embarrassing me" Look!  I have a feeling I'm going to be getting a lot of these looks in the next 18 years.  Too bad Molly, I'm your mother and it's my job to embarrass you!

A boy on a bike is a boy on a mission!

Seriously?  This camera is worth every dollar...

Molly has recently started teeth smiling and saying, "Cheese!"  She's such a ham!

50 degrees...Who cares?  This boy is drawn to any type of water....Bring it!

Focused!

Silly Paulie!  He, too, loves hamming it up for the new camera.

Oohhh....Monochromatic...Ohh so serious!

Come to think of it, his car seat is the perfect place for me to snap a photo...He can't move and has no choice but to face forward!

Who is that hottie tottie washing my wheels?

Slam Dunkin'

Paulie are you hiding from me?

Yay! I love that you're now a member of Team Canon, Kyra! Your pictures are beautiful! (couldn't have anything to do with the beautiful subjects of your photographs, could it?!) Paulie and Molly are just so darn CUTE!! Good luck learning all the ins and outs of your new camera! You'll be an old pro in no time! :)

Kyra, your pictures are gorgeous! I agree with Amy that you have excellent subjects. My friend Morgan just took a class for her fancy camera and she said it really helped her figure out how to get the best out of it. I can't wait to see more pictures as you experiment.
